Arbortec AT4070 Breatheflex Pro Chainsaw Trousers Design C Class 1 - Multi-Colour

The Arbortec AT4070 Breatheflex Pro Chainsaw Trousers are Design C, Class 1 chainsaw trousers for arborists who want lightweight, breathable protection with full-leg coverage. Built with Dyneema® and Kevlar®, they combine strength, comfort and flexibility for both climbing and ground work.

Design C protects the front and back of the leg, and Class 1 is tested to a chain speed of 20 m/s. Stretch fabric, shaped knees and zipped air vents keep the trousers workable through a full day in the tree, while Kevlar® lower-leg panels and reinforced seams cover the high-wear areas.

AT4070 Chainsaw Protection

These are Design C trousers (also called Type C), so the protective layers wrap the front and rear of the leg rather than just the front. They are rated Class 1 (20 m/s). The Specifications table below lists the standards the trousers are certified to.

Comfort & Ventilation

The Breatheflex Pro build is aimed at staying cool and moving freely. Stretch fabric and shaped knees help when climbing, zipped air vents let you regulate temperature, and the adjustable waist with Velcro side adjusters lets you fine-tune the fit.

At the ankle, an elasticated boot-lace fastener helps reduce sawdust getting into your boots, and the reinforced lining reduces wear in a high-friction area.

Pockets & Storage

The cargo and phone pockets have downward-facing zips, which help keep dust and shavings out of whatever you carry.

Design C or Design A?

If you only need front-of-leg protection, the lighter-weight Breatheflex Pro Design A trousers are the alternative. Design C is the better choice when you work close to the tree or need cover on the back of the leg as well.
